Aby Taby?

by Tet
(Marylad, United States)

We (mom and I) fell in love with a cat, now dubbed Alize but called Liz, found at a local shelter. She's fun, active, and possibly one of the coolest cats we've ever brought into the family. We have had other tabby's, one possibly being a Pixie Bob, but never had the chance to find out. This time, i'd like to know the heritage of breeds of this wonderful kitty, Liz.

Mom picked her 1. Because she was friendly, and 2. Because she can't stay away from the Tabbys, which Liz, displaying lovely striped legs and tail with a perfect 'M' on her forehead, also had some markings that weren't totally like a Tabby (Mom, as being familiar with past Tabbys, noted on this as well). Alize, apart from her legs and tail, has almost spot-like stripes on her, and fawn belly, with the insides of her legs also being fawn colored; leading the volunteers at the shelter to believe her to be of abyssinian descent (and also due to the fact that she enjoys high places). Also noteworthy are the fawn-y undertones of an aby--versus the white of a tabby, and is that she has extremely light-blue eyes, and is VERY conversational. At all hours of the night.

Anywho, it'd be nice to know for sure one day. Till then, I'm using spare time for research. I wish i could add more than one picture.
