Hello, I am an 8 year old girl who would like a teacup cat for $20 or less. I would like one that looked kind of like this.

Maya

Hi Maya... thanks for visiting and asking. I am afraid that you are asking for the impossible.

Teacup cats are expensive, perhaps $1000 - $2000 - sorry.

You might be offered a cat that is much cheaper but will it be a genuine teacup cat?

Cats that are not fully grown can look like teacup cats but there clearly are not.

There are also very few breeders of teacup cats so you will have to pay for transportation to collect the kitten or shipping costs. That alone will be more than $20.

Then there are the costs of looking after the kitten/cat. It is estimated that a cat from cradle to grave can cost about $10,000.

That figure is perhaps a high one but the cost of good cat caretaking is not cheap and we owe it to our cats to provide the highest care we can.

So, the conclusion is that you will be very lucky indeed, Maya, if you are to adopt a teacup cat for $20.

Personally I would advise going to the nearest cat shelter and let a cat there pick you as their human caretaker.

The reward, fun and loyalty is all the greater if we give a homeless cat a home and our tender loving care.

Good Luck
