I have two Tiffany cats - chocolate and lilac

by Elise
(NYC)

I have two Tiffany cats - chocolate and lilac. I adopted them from the ASPCA in NYC. They were surrendered by a breeder - probably because the female (Misha, dilute) was the runt of the litter, and the male (Jackson, chocolate) has crooked back legs and could not do normal things like jump or sit up to scratch (that's all better now, btw).

I noticed that there are no dilute Tiffany pictures on the website, and the pics are of only one cat, so I thought I'd contribute.

My izzy
by: Kaitlin

I was given a cat, named Izzy. Izzy is a full breed Tiffany. She has a personality that i have never seen in a cat before. She is very loving, will sit on your shoulders, and has a love for the water. She has become best friends with our tea cup Chihuahua, Tiffany seem to be very couriers cats she loves going outside. She is always in a window seal and is always wanting to know what is going on. She is one of the most playful cats that i have ever had and can jump extremely high. she acts more like a dog that a cat. She is a great new mimber to our family!

Why the CFA doesn't recognize the Tiffany
by: E Noonan

Hi,

I love this cat, and the breed is probably going to die out. There is only one breeder left in the US. Anyway, that's the reason the registries don't recognize it -- it's not popular enough. Of course, it's not popular because it's not a recognized breed. feh

Hi Elise

Thanks for the submission. Because of it I created a form on the Tiffany cat page and moved your contribution to this form so it is in a more relevant place. You can see the form at the base of the Tiffany cat page.

I like your story rescuing two purebred cats (it shows what the cat breeding business can sometimes be like) and the picture is great too.
