John Antrobus Story

by Sarah Hartwell
(UK)

I can confirm the John Antrobus story was an annual April Fool and also set to catch people who copied wholesale from my websites without asking and without checking.

Hi Sarah!.. why haven't you got a comments section on your site?!

Well, I am impressed by your creative writing. It fooled me but at least I didn't copy it wholesale! How many other fictional stories are on your site? - just joking.

For those who haven't heard the John Antrobus story is about a person who found some teacup cats in a refuse dump in Argentina. He went on to breed from them.

It is very believable because of the quite numerous stories of naturally occurring breeds being "discovered" some of which are slightly vague. An example is the Abyssinian cat.

I'll put a note and a link to this on the teacup cat page.

Simple: Fictional stories and April Fools come under the Moggycat Index to ensure they are separate from factual items.
