My Alice

by Beca Gibson
(Hammond, LA)

Alice Rise - her first Halloween

Alice Rise - her first Halloween

I got Alice from my next door neighbor whose calico had four very different kittens. Alice was the only female and certainly calico by her coloring. She is grey, orange and white with a half moon face.

Alice's brothers where tabby and striped, and I instantly fell in love with her and she has been my baby ever since.

I have been drawn to calico since I was young. My first calico was a Maine coon and the best cat ever next to Alice.

I brought Alice to the vet for the first time at three months of age and my vet said he has seen very pretty cats but not with her color pattern that I should show her in a couple upcoming shows once she is a little older.

I am planning to show after she is a year old so I can work with her some more. I love my Alice Rose.

Alice

Hi Beca. I don't mean to be rude, but I'm not particularly fond of the idea dressing up cats - not even for Halloween. The article 'Funny Cats Photos' explains why, but you may of course see things differently, no problem.
Anyway, on this photo the dress actually covers what the it was supposed to show - Alice's beautiful calico fur. I'd like to see what she really looks like, so if you have another picture, don't hesitate to put it up.
p.s. My favourite childhood cat was called Alice too. ;-)
