My Cat Loves Water

I acquired a kitten one and a half years ago, originally in order not to send him to the Cat Protection League (CPL - a rescue organisation), little did I know he would be such fun. I have lived with cats all my childhood life & none of the cats I have previously had have been anywhere the same.

Bert loves playing with water. He runs into the bathroom when the toilet is flushed and now that the plants do not need watering outside (as its winter), he jumps into the bathroom sink and I have to pour water from a jug into the sink so he can flick it around the room and bite it like a dog bites a hosepipe!

Bert plays with wrapped up crisp bags, we throw them for him and he fetches them so we can throw them again. He also chases me around the house jumping out on me nearly giving me a heart attack at times, even though by now I should realise that is what he is going to do.

I am so pleased he did not go to someone else through the CPL, as I would never have known how much fun I was missing out on & how much love a cat could give & how much I could give him in return.
