Sad Mommy Lost Her Munchkin

by Angela Reed
(Louisville, ky, usa)

I am not one of these wealthy people that buy an expensive breed. I could never spend thousands of dollars on any pet just to buy in one lump sum. I never even knew they were a breed, the Munchkin cat.

I had a person in my neighborhood who had a lady or family that just never neutered their cats and they had way too many. Then out of all the cats they had they came out with one long haired solid white cat with beautiful blue eyes and which was different to any other.

I was never a cat owner before, but she was different, she was a munchkin and she had those cute little legs that made me giggle. She was so cute.

I named her Melody and I spoiled her rotten and then one day the weather outside was awesome so I let her out on my balcony and then took a short trip to the store.

I thought the balcony would be safe. It was enclosed enough so that she could not fall.

I don't know what happened. When I came back she was gone. She did not fall. She was no where to be found. It could have been maybe two things.

I had a landlord who took a liking to Melody and who lived on the campus of the home I was living in. Even though it would enrage me to know she took Melody, the other option was an eagle.

I just hope she is OK. I really loved her. For everyone who have their babies, please take care of them.

I so wish I could get another. I miss exotic baby Melody.

Angela

Great Horned Owls
by: Michael

I have just read a press story about Great Horned Owls that it is believed are attacking and carrying off small dogs and cats. They can carry off prey that weighs up to 15 lbs!

This might be what happened. It happens fast. Link
