Sampson An Adoptable FeLV Positive Cat

by Barbara
(Nashville, IN)

I am ready for fun

I am ready for fun

This is Marcia from Brown County Humane Society. Last July Sampson was found as a stray kitten and brought to the shelter. He tested FeLV+/FIV-.

We have been trying to place him since that time. We don't euthanize FeLV+ kitties unless they are very ill already.

Sampson here, I am allowed out of my cage after all the other kitties' cages have been cleaned and before the floor is mopped with disinfectant. I have tons of energy to play with a toys and keep you entertained. Did I mention that I am very friendly. I am soo tired of sitting in a cage for 99% of my life so far.

Please consider me for your home

The extra chance
by: Finn Frode, Denmark

What a pity that such a fine young tabby can't find a home. I'm no expert on FeLV+, but as I understand it, he may well have a long life ahead of him despite his medical condition.
But one thing I do know, is that some great cats are to be found at the shelters. Almost each day this site has new stories of shelter cats that got a second chance and turned out to be gold to their new humans. In fact I have one sitting right next to me now - and I simply can't bear the thought of not having found her. ;-)
So if you have the space and ressources, please consider adopting. Sampson and his fellow cats really deserve that extra chance.
