Scottish Wildcat Sighted At Tarland Golf Club

by Richard Yule
(Banchory, Aberdeenshire, Scotland)

Playing golf at Tarland Golf Course - 8th hole. My wife thought she spotted a fox (an idea of size) but on closer inspection (wooded area next to the course) it was clear that the animal was a wild cat - striped body and movement like a cat. The animal certainly didn't appear to be unduly perturbed by our reasonably close proximity (20m).
