Scottish Wildcats Sighted At Mintlaw Aberdeenshire

by G levy
(Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire, Scotland)

On Saturday 12th February 2011, at approximately 9:30 pm, while returning home with my wife from a night out we saw two wild cats which I assume were a male and female being approached by what I also assume was a domestic tom cat.

The three cats were at all times in the car headlights. The male wildcat was obviously defending the female and would not leave the female. We observed them for approximately 5 minutes.

Hi G. Levy... thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

You might like to contact the Scottish Wildcat Association as well.
