Toni The Tawney Ocicat?

by Brian
(La Junta, Colorado)

Toni 1

Toni 1

Toni 1 Toni 1.0 Henry (Toni's Brother) Lucy (Toni's Mom)

Toni's parents like herself are both outside cats. Her mom, Lucy, is fixed now, as well as Toni.

I never managed to get pictures of Toni's Dad as he's a bit intimidating. He was what I call "all male".

Toni and her brother, Henry, were born on April 18th 2008. As for the rest of the litter I don't know what happened to it.

The litter was born premature somehow. I think due to stress. One thing that I noticed with her and her brother are that they have a different way to vocalize than their mother (Lucy).

Lucy is all gray, and Toni is nothing like her mom in anyway. Her eyes are green and her mom's are Yellow.

I guess what I'm getting at is, that I thought it was very interesting to see such a beautiful breed of cat (Toni's Dad).

Seen roaming the alleys, and then to end up with 2 cats from him and lucy.

If there is anything I missed pleas feel free to email me.

Hi Brian
by: Michael

First, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and show us Toni.

I think Toni is a first class and great looking mixed breed cat (random bred cat). He looks very healthy and that is probably down to you. He is a mackerel tabby cat.

He is not an Ocicat as the Ocicat is a created cat through selective breeding. It was an accident but purebred cats were used.

What is interesting is that Lucy is very long haired. This obviously does not mean that her offspring are long haired as is shown.

This is because the gene that creates long hair is recessive.
